Frequently asked questions
Can we come without booking?
Yes: ten of our 34 seats, including the counter, are never booked. On weekday lunchtimes there is almost always room before 12.15pm or after 1.30pm. On Friday and Saturday evenings, booking is wise.
Do you take meal vouchers?
Yes, paper and card, Tuesday to Friday at lunch, up to the legal limit of €25 a day. Not in the evening or at weekends.
Groups and private hire
For 9 or more, please call us and we will suggest a sharing menu. The whole room can be hired on Mondays, when we are closed, for 20 people or more.
I have an allergy. What should I do?
The 14 regulated allergens are listed under every dish on the menu. Ours is one small kitchen, so traces are possible, especially of sesame, soy and gluten. Please tell us when booking and again when you arrive.
Are there vegetarian dishes?
Yes, and they are marked on the menu. Note that classic cabbage kimchi contains fish sauce and salted shrimp: we swap it for the stuffed cucumber or dongchimi, which are vegetarian.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, on a lead, in the dining room. There is a water bowl by the door.
Can we buy your kimchi?
Yes, in 500 g jars (€9) at the counter, depending on what is left in the jars. It keeps fermenting: store it cold and open it over the sink.
